Windows Installation

Prerequisites

• Install Jsdk1.4.2  Let the installation be at JAVA_HOME
• Install Ant at ANT_HOME.
• Install JINI at JINI_HOME.

Download Sources

SorcerProvider  Unzip using WinZip. It's recomended that you unzip this under $HOME/www/projects/iGrid

 Required Libraries

SORCER requires the following jar files: jini-core.jar, jini-ext.jar; sunutil.jar; mahalo.jar; reggie.jar; tools.jar; space-examples.jar; jini-examples.jar; serviceui.jar;ant.jar. You need your own installation of these jar files which are found in your installation of JINI and ANT.

You will also require serviceui.jar which is under the lib directory of the SorcerProvider download.

Configuring SORCER Provider

1. .jconfigure : The following things needs to be changed in the script.    SORCER_PORTAL_HOST -> The current host you want to setup the SORCER portal.                                                                   SORCER_PORTAL_PORT -> Port on which to run the SORCER portal. SORCER_HTTP_HOST SORCER_HTTP_PORT -> The host and port from which to download jar files(which are common). This can be shared by many users in a setup. This can be also the same as your SORCER_PORTAL_HOST and SORCER_PORTAL_PORT. Also change SORCER_HOME, JAVA_HOME, JINI_HOME, ANT_HOME.

Running SORCER Arithmetic provider

1. Run the .jconfigure.bat file. This file needs to be run each time you open a new DOS prompt so that the environment is set up.
2. Start the HTTP server by typing "httpd start" at the prompt.
3. Run the arithmetic.bat file to start the provider.
